Angela Selden

Angie Selden joined Arise in September 2005 as Chief Executive Officer. Since her arrival, Arise has flourished, adding eleven clients, seventeen applications and four Fortune 100 clients including Home Depot and Time Customer Service. Prior to joining Arise, Angie spent 18 years at Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. In her last five years there she served as Managing Partner of the Consumer and Industrial Group, doubling the revenue of the North American Consumer and Industrial practice to $500 million in three years and drove 20 percent growth per year for two years in the North American Retail practice.
 
Angie has received high accolades including one of Consulting Magazine's "Top 25 Consultants 2001" and The Business Journal 's   "Women Change Makers – 2003". She has been featured on ABC's " Good Morning America ," the CBS Evening News , The New York Times , The Wall Street Journal , BusinessWeek , National Public Radio and Investor's Business Daily .   Angie received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and computer science at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
 

Connie Adcock

 

Connie Adcock is Vice President, Virtual Services Corporation (VSC) Relations, Operations and Results at Arise. In this role, she focuses on streamlining the operations and process in place for Virtual Service Corporations to produce continually improved results for Arise's clients. 
 
Prior to joining Arise in November 2007, Connie worked for 30 years in the call center industry. During her tenure with 1-800-Flowers.com as Senior Vice President of Customer Service, the company's Service Center was selected as ICMI's 2006 "Global Call Center of the Year" as well as Training Magazine's Top 125 for three years in a row. While there, she was instrumental in implementing results-focused and skills-based routing programs for the company's home-based agents. 
 
Over the course of Connie's career, she was also responsible for the reservations centers of Alamo and National Car Rental, which were named by J.D. Power as number one in customer satisfaction in the car rental industry two years in a row. Connie began her career as a reservation agent for Holiday Inn, and eventually led the reservation centers for Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites and Harrah's.

 


Matt Coughlin

 

Matt Coughlin, who joined Arise in January, 2006, currently serves as Vice President & General Manager- Business Development.  Matt is responsible for development of new strategic partnerships, which will enable Arise to acquire new customers , also responsible for d eveloping strategic partnerships and building the Arise brand within the U.S. marketplace.  Since joining Arise, Matt has architected several successful relationships with leading brands in his previous role as Vice President of Sales.
 

Prior to joining Arise, he spent more than 13 years in the Retail and Consumer Goods industries helping clients solve complex business challenges and realize significant share holder value. Over the course of his career Matt has held Sales and Management roles with Kewill, Manugistics, and Manhattan Associates.   Matt earned a Bachelor of Sciences Degree from Illinois State University.


Jared Fletcher

 

Jared Fletcher joined Arise in 2007 as VP, Transformation. Jared is responsible for identifying and directing the company's future strategies, as well as leading our Implementation, COPC and Project Management Office. Before joining Arise, Jared was Vice President of a large security and valet company, overseeing both operations and human resources. Prior to this, he held management-level positions with Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, and Accenture, where he focused on strategy and transformation as well as mergers and acquisitions. 
 
Jared holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Miami. Jared is also actively involved with the Society of Human Resource Management, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Florida Breast Cancer Coalition.
 

Dan Kusel

 

Dan Kusel joined Arise on September 30th, 2008 as Vice President and General Manager- Major Accounts. Prior to this role, Dan served as Co-Lead Partner at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) managing the company’s North American Wireless practice, and Partner Lead for their largest NA Wireless client team.   Dan led the Systems Integration & Technology practice for Florida.   He also led ~300 employees encompassing mentoring, staffing, training, and development.   Manage $65M P&L, he provided guidance daily to Fortune 100 C-Level executives.   Dan’s a member of 4 major industry verticals including Communications & High Tech, Financial Services, Products, and Government.   He served as Business Development Director for Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment, and High Tech divisions.   Dan procured new clients and developed long-term relationships and oversaw the growth and maintenance of operating unit.   Dan graduated from Union College, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Physics.
 

Irynne V. MacKay

 

Irynne V. MacKay joined Arise on September 30th as Vice President and General Manager - Client Results, reporting to Angie Selden.   Irynne is an experienced Retail professional who possesses a strong blend of industry consulting experience with a practical operator’s approach.   Irynne has a consulting background that spans business strategy and capability development within large-scale change programs for marquis brands such as Best Buy, Nordstrom and Circuit City.   She also has retail operation experience including Customer Segment Lead for Best Buy and General Merchandise Manager for Circuit City.   Her areas of expertise include business strategy and planning, business process improvement, large-scale change management, category and assortment management, vendor management, advertising effectiveness, pricing optimization and inventory management.
 
Prior to this role, Irynne held the role of Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager with Circuit City Stores reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer.   Prior to her role with Circuit City, Irynne spent 9 years at Accenture Retail division, working on the Nordstrom, Best Buy and Sears Canada accounts.   Irynne graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering.  
 

John Riordan

 

John Riordan joined Arise in 2007 as Vice President, Arise International. In this role, John focuses on developing our client portfolio internationally. Immediately prior to joining Arise, John served as a virtual customer care implementation consultant to a major consumer electronics brand.
 
Throughout his career, John has spent 14 years in the travel industry at two prominent airlines. He most recently served as Vice President, Customer Service at Virgin Atlantic Airways, where he was responsible for the customer-facing side of the award winning airline's business, including airport services, call center and customer relations. John spent seven years with the company in various roles, including Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, John was Manager, Marketing Programs at US Airways, where he ultimately led the Dividend Miles Program, managing all program and communication aspects of the frequent flyer program for over 30 million members.   A native of Cork, Ireland, John received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork (UCC) and a Master of Business degree from University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.
 

Michael Schwartz

 

Michael Schwartz joined Arise on August 29th, 2008 as Vice President of Information Technology, reporting to Angie Selden.  Michael has a proven record of leadership and transformation capabilities focused on solution delivery, building teams, managing projects, and multi-phase large project implementation. Michael joins us from TSYS Acquiring Solutions where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, System Architecture and Strategy, and was responsible for defining the core architectures, strategies and roadmaps for each of TSYS Acquiring Solutions’ platforms and products to ensure that are efficient, effective and technically sound. Mike and his team worked collaboratively with other teams across the TSYS enterprise to communicate the company’s technology visions and plans and to drive architectural direction to meet existing and future market needs.
 
Prior to this role, Mike held several positions at TSYS Acquiring Solutions, including Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice President of International Technology and Expansion, and Senior Vice President of Product Management. Mike’s responsibilities included oversight of all corporate projects and programs, business architecture, merger and acquisition technology integration, international partnership development, product strategy, as well as client conversions and implementations. Before joining TSYS Acquiring Solutions, Mike spent 14 years at Accenture, with a focus on the financial services industry, credit card issuing and acquiring business. Michael graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Physical Sciences & Biology.   Michael resides with his family in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be commuting for a period of time until he relocates his family to South Florida in 2009.
